A real-time social media application with posts, likes, comments, messaging, and live updates using WebSockets.
The problem
A social feed needs updates to reach other users as they happen — new posts, likes, comments and direct messages — rather than only on page reload.
How it was built
A React front end with Redux Toolkit for client state and shadcn/ui components on Tailwind CSS. WebSockets push live updates for feed activity and messaging, while an Express and MongoDB backend stores posts and relationships and Cloudinary handles image uploads.
